Our Winter Foodie Bucket List Spots in Leeds
Here are a few of our favourite winter warmers in Leeds that we’ve been loving this season:
🍷 Mulled wine at Green Room
Next time you’re craving a festive warmer, head to Green Room for their delicious mulled wine. It’s warming, slightly sweet, and packed with those classic Christmas spices.

We enjoyed ours sat outside by the open fire, watching the world go by, but their winter terrace is just as cosy, with heaters, fairy lights, and proper festive vibes. A perfect stop on a chilly winter afternoon in the city.
🧀 Raclette at Friends of Ham
We absolutely love Friends of Ham’s German-style raclette, and winter is the perfect time to enjoy. Think crispy potatoes, gloriously melted raclette cheese, loads of black pepper, and those cute little pickles that give the perfect punch.

We tucked into ours with a glass of white Rioja on a cold November afternoon, the perfect pairing. It’s also a great spot for a relaxed sit-down while watching the world go by.
🥩 Yorkshire pudding wrap at Kirkgate Market
We’ll never stop raving about Leeds Kirkgate Market, and we knew exactly where to head for the ultimate winter warmer.

We went straight to The Yorkshire Wrap Company for their beef Yorkshire pudding wrap, filled with tender beef, festive trimmings, rich gravy, and a hit of horseradish. Honestly, it’s the perfect lunch to get you into the Christmas spirit.
🍟 Poutine at the Christmas Markets
Bringing Canadian comfort food to Leeds, we tried Spud & Bro’s Poutine, currently trading at Millennium Square, right up until Christmas Eve.

We went for the traditional poutine: skin-on fries, proper Canadian cheese curds, homemade gravy, finished with crispy onions and chives. Rich, comforting, and exactly what you want when it’s freezing outside.
