Looking for the best pizza in Leeds?

We're on a mission to find the city's top pizza spots, from hidden gems to well-loved favourites, we’ve got three spots below that we think you’ll love!

Homeboy

If a slice of New York is what you’re looking for, the guys at Homeboy Pizza are cooking up a storm at their shop on Burley Road. Their speciality is New York style sourdough bases and they have so many incredible topping options to choose from. They claimed their original fame from having a pop up in the city centre at Roland’s, where they did -the best- Detroit style pizza, if you’re lucky they sometimes do them at their new place, so keep an eye on their socials!

Choose from lots of different options; an old school, a new school marg, or if you’re feeling fancy perhaps the Ric Flair (mozarella, lemon ricotta, courgette, pistachio pesto) might take your fancy? They’ve got a huge selection so make sure to check these guys out.

Rileys Pizza by Silvers Deli

Now this one is a bit of a tease as they’re currently on a break, but the infamous Silvers Deli (a sandwich shop in Bramley and now Saltaire serving up those thick sandwiches you’ve probably seen all over your socials - for very good reason) have opened up a neighbourhood pizza joint called Riley’s serving ‘THICCC’ Neapolitan pizzas; some of which have very rude names, that we won’t be sharing on this email!

We’re eagerly awaiting their reopening so wanted to give you the low-down that they promised to be back early 2025, we’ve been watching their socials like a hawk!

Dough Boys

If it's pizza by the slice alongside a refreshing pint then Dough Boys at Belgrave Music Hall is the place to go. Ellen, Leeds Food Tours owner said this is the thinnest base she’s ever had, giving your tastebuds the chance to really taste all the toppings.

They have some interesting toppings with entertaining names too, Ellen’s favourites are Sausage Fest (Prosciutto, spianata & Belgrave black pepper sausage, mascarpone, caramelised onions), Baa No More (Middle Eastern spiced ground lamb, pine nuts, pomegranate, pecorino & baby red chard) and Queen Brie (French brie, caramelised onions, roasted red grapes, black pepper & smoked sea salt).
