Mr Mackerel

Hands down, one of the best grab-and-go lunches in Leeds. If you’ve ever been to Istanbul, you’ll know these are a fond favourite of the city (and of ours).
Crisp salad, a grilled mackerel fillet between beautiful Turkish bread. They’re £5 and far better than any of those recently inflated supermarket-bought meal deals. They’re inside Leeds Market, which is a hub for great independent food at lunchtime.
Sociable Folk

With the growing hub of Wellington Place and more businesses making the move, Sociable Folk have been there for the journey, providing fresh eat-in and takeaway food.
The downside is that you’ll usually have to queue at lunch to order, but their bagels and burritos are worth the wait for a good bite to eat near the office.
Sesame

Sesame’s special sandwiches are renowned around Leeds, with our particular favourite being the chicken schnitzel on a Thursday.
There are now three in Leeds, one of which is a build-your-own salad bar. It’s great value, we highly recommend the vine leaves and falafel if you’re building your own bowl.
BAKE

We recently tried the newly opened BAKE, which is a lovechild of ‘Things in Bread’ and ‘Do’hut’, so you know you’re in good hands.

We’ve only tried their coffee, a sausage roll and cookies at the moment, but their sandwiches and focaccia look like they’re worth a visit back for!
Juici Sushi

A staple lunchtime spot for anyone working around Wellington Street. Fresh sushi, as well as sandwiches, noodle dishes, bao’s and soups.
Although slightly pricier than your standard meal deal, their sushi rolls and seaweed salad are the perfect refreshing lunch combo.
