You may know them for their brownies and cookies, but did you know they do some of the best matcha in Leeds!? They do two different blends of matcha, depending on what kind of strength of matcha you'd like.

Cup + Lid

We're BIG fans of Cup + Lid, so it was no surprise to find they've incorporated their chocolatier knowledge into their matcha offering. Cup + Lid are smashing the matcha game and have white chocolate matcha's, vanilla matcha latte's, and even matchamisu (white chocolate, matcha and tiramisu cream).

📍 Cup + Lid, 29 The Headrow

Known for their speciality coffee offering and minimalist interior, RAW also offer ceremonial grade matcha, tried and tested by their expert team. As well as regular matcha latte, they offer nitro matcha (matcha, oat milk, vanilla syrup, infused with nitrogen), and also matcha lemonades, featuring in-season fruit.

📍 RAW, 10 Mill Hill

HeyTea

Globally known, the people of Leeds were queuing out of the door for HeyTea when it opened up last year. They're famous around the world for their 'Cloud Matcha Latte' which is matcha, milk and their signature cheese cloud. You can get various matcha drinks featuring matcha mochi, matcha jelly, or even including blue spirulina for added health benefits.

MADE

One of Leeds' newest matcha spots is now open! MADE do matcha, smoothies and açai bowls, a one-stop shop for all things wellness in Leeds. Fresh fruit matcha, banana bread matcha, and more. It's reasonably priced compared to others on the list and would be the perfect morning treat in the city.

The pop up in Leeds that everyone's trying to get in line for! Matcha & Mascarpone are popping up in various locations all over the city, including Victoria Quarter, Kirkgate Market, and The Junction. The people of Leeds are loving their iced matcha lattes and also their take on the viral NYC banana pudding. All matchas are whisked to order, syrups are made in-house, making their matchas unique flavours shine through. It's worth hunting down where their next pop up will be, although be prepared for a small queue, it's worth it!

LeSon Leeds

A Vietnamese spot right in the heart of Leeds, LeSon serve real strawberry puree and coconut water matchas, super refreshing for the summer months! We're also quite partial tpo their oatmilk and condensed milk matchas, but may be slightly biased as we're big condensed milk fans. It's also worth shouting about their Vietnamese egg coffee - if you know, you know!

H8use Pha

Maybe the biggest matcha's in Leeds, H8use Pha are in the Grand Arcade, serving up bubble tea, egg coffee and of course, ceremonial grade matcha!

There's lots of options to choose from, including real fruit matcha, creme brulee matcha, coconut water matcha and of course, all topped with cold foam. We've got to mention their smoothies too, which are lovely to drink in their cute little spot in the arcade.

The tiniest matcha stand in Leeds, Sips is a matcha stand at the end of a garden in Woodhouse near the city centre.  They're open Wednesday - Friday at the moment (set times, so make sure to check before visiting) and it's at the end of their parents' garden in a gorgeous green little hut!
