Festive Dining at The Crowded House, Leeds
We’ve been eager to visit The Crowded House since it opened, especially after being huge fans of Three’s A Crowd for years, and it more than lived up to the hype.
Ellen visited recently for a Sunday roast and couldn’t stop talking about the beef, while Georgia stopped by to try the festive menu (twice tested, twice approved). Safe to say, the food did not disappoint.
Inside, the atmosphere feels properly festive, with live music adding to the Christmas buzz throughout December. The turkey dinner was a standout: succulent, generous slices paired with seriously good roast potatoes.
But the real show-stopper? Dessert. A Christmas pudding trifle that was nothing short of outrageous. We’ll be thinking about how we can replicate that for our own Christmas dinner.

For a cosy festive weekend in Leeds, Veeno at Wellington Place is hard to beat. We recently visited for a wine tasting, sampling four wines each, all expertly paired with small bites and cheese.
While we were kindly invited for a gifted experience, it’s somewhere we’d genuinely return to, especially for a relaxed wine and cheese night during the festive season.

One of the most exciting new openings in Leeds this December is The Vic, brought to you by Whitelocks and Kirkstall Brewery.
The iconic Victoria and Commercial has reopened with its stunning Victorian interior beautifully refurbished, creating a warm, traditional pub atmosphere that feels perfect for Christmas. Even better, the head chef previously worked at Whitelocks, so the food is as good as you’d expect.
