The Decanter
Take your other half to a 'Wine down Wednesday' at The Decanter. Every Wednesday, The Decanter offer a free meat and cheese board when purchasing a bottle of wine, and with this years day of love falling on a Wednesday, they're honouring the deal (when a booking is made).
The Cheesy Living Co.
Sharing food is a sign of love, and The Cheesy Living Co. have created a set menu for the lovers this year. A cheese fondue for main, and a chocolate fondue for dessert, it's sharing heaven (or hell for those of you who don't believe in the sharing is caring mantra).
The Owl
The Owl have announced two beautifully curated menu's featuring a exclusive tasting menu (seven courses) at £90pp and a three course early dinner at £37pp (optional wine parings £60pp for the seven course and £30pp for the three course).
Alley Cats (Chapel Allerton)
Supper club is back up in Chappy A! Alley Cats have announced their first supper club of the year with a three course (plus cocktail) Valentine's Day menu for £25pp. There's two sittings, at 6pm or 8:15pm, featuring arancini, a 72 hour marinaded pork belly, or mushroom stroganoff, finishing with raspberry coulis cheesecake (Vegan options are available upon request).
Kino
Join Kino for a five course dinner, designed by their head chef, using seasonal locally-sourced ingredients. The evening starts with a glass of premium rose and is accompanied Lucy Hope, a French 'Chanteuse' who will perform a selection of songs as you eat!
Crafthouse
Exec chef Lee Murdoch has created an exclusive five course tasting menu for Crafthouse Valentine's goers, which will be available for lunch and dinner between the 14th-16th February. The menu is priced at £50pp with an optional wine pairing of £30pp. Resident duo Katie and Ryan will be providing live motown entertainment for the loverbirds from 7:30pm each evening.
Kendells
Transport your Valentine to the city of love, at 'the most romantic restaurant in Leeds', Kendells Bistro, for a French inspired set menu. At £75pp, the food is promised to wow and includes a glass of champagne for each of you on arrival.
House of Koko
Not on Valentine's Day itself, but you might want to hold off a few days as House of Koko is hosting a supper club on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th February with Masterchef runner up @omarcooks_. For £50pp, you'll get snacks and a three course menu, combining cuisines and flavours to impress.
The Swine That Dines
You're in luck as on the occasional Wednesday, The Swine has themed set menu's that vary from European bistro style, Southern American, a refined Italian restaurant, they're essentially shape shifters on these Wednesday's and the food is pretty good! Please note that when we checked there were only reservations left at 5:30pm.
Shears Yard
Why have one Valentine's Day menu when you can have two!? Shears Yard have hit the mark this year with a delicious looking menu (varied prices) AND a rather tempting looking tasting menu (priced at £55pp). The menu looked that inviting, we actually ended up booking ourselves in here whilst doing our write up!
Psycho Sandbar
A new restaurant in place of The Man Behind The Curtain, Psycho Sandbar has newly opened this year by popular Leeds chef, Micheal O'Hare. The Valentine's set menu is priced at £95pp and features five unique courses with a strong focus on fish/seafood. Psycho Sandbar's take is a little different from what its predecessor was known for and is a more accessible fine dining restaurant.
Owt
Our lovely friends at Owt have opened up in their new spot on Burley Road, after they departed the Corn Exchange at the end of 2023. We bring some bad news to you that this event is already sold out- however we had to include it as this collab was too good to not mention! This Valentine's Day they have paired up with Surplus To Purpose, who prevent food from becoming waste. They intercept surplus produce from the food industry and find solutions to ensure it is consumed or recycled responsibly. The set vegetarian based menu was £20pp and the ingredients will be collected on the 13th, which is when they will release the set menu. It's such a fantastic initative and we hope they run something similar in the future!
