Where to find the best Ice Cream in Leeds
Jul 25, 2024
It's summer and we're in the mood for summer food...the weather might sometimes say otherwise, but if there's not a better excuse to have an ice cream in July and August, when can you!?
We always have a list of 'go-to's' and you guessed it, we've got our list of where to find the best ice cream in Leeds!
Fancy joining us on a food tour in Leeds?
Roberto Gelato
Roberto Gelato is in the top side of Leeds Market, serving up fresh homemade gelato (that they make every single day, we learnt the hard way the other week when we were queuing for Biscoff ice cream, when it's gone - it's gone!). They use quality ingredients from Italy and Yorkshire, making it the perfect hybrid. They've got three shops, one in Leeds Market, one in York and another in Driffield. If the weather says otherwise, they also do coffees, a selection of Italian pastries and cakes and more!
Amorino
In the beautiful Victoria Quarter, you'll find the Insta-worthy Amorino. Now if you've recently traveled to abroad, you may have come across their petal shaped ice cream in a cone (see below image). As much as you may think enjoying an ice cream abroad, in the heat is wonderful, we'll let you into a secret; we tried one of these petal ice creams for the first time in the gorgeous city of Barcelona, within minutes the whole thing was running down our hands, all down our faces- so maybe it's actually better to enjoy an Amorino petal ice cream in Leeds, where the temps aren't *quite* as hot!

The Milk Churn
Not in the centre of Leeds, The Milk Churn Gelateria is at Beech Grove Farm, near Scarcroft in Leeds. It's a working dairy farm producing some of the freshest ice cream around from their 'ladies'. They're a great spot for children and have a lovely outdoor area for when the weather is dry.

The Sweet Quarter
Selling the Ryeburn of Helmsley Yorkshire ice cream, The Sweet Quarter are a go to for us, they're up in Chapel Allerton selling old fashioned sweets (in all the jars!). Don't miss out on their Belgian chocolates if you pay them a visit as they're divine.
