Where to find the best noodles in Leeds

We're often asked for recommendations and one of the most asked questions is, where can I find the best noodles in Leeds!?
We LOVE trying out new foods, and trying new spots for noodles is definitely at the top of our list!
With an increase in restaurants around the city, bringing different cuisines, whether that be Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and more, there are so many exciting dishes and variations to try.
Make sure to check out our other blog posts for Chinese and Japanese food recommendations around the city.

Mr Su's Noodles

It’s all in the name, we highly recommend putting this place to the top of your list, next time you fancy an authentic bowl of noodles in Leeds!

Mr Su’s is quick, affordable and extremely tasty - choose from their set menu items or create your own bowl.

They even have a DIY dipping station with fresh herbs, oils and spices, to create your own mix to pour on top.

We had the hot and spicy duck noodles, the duck was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, whilst the noodles had such a depth of flavour that you don’t often find, each lovingly coated in the hot sauce.

Oriental City

This is genuinely one of Leeds’ biggest hidden gems. Oriental City is a restaurant just on the outskirts of the city centre that serves incredible, and most importantly; authentic Chinese food.

We’ve spoken before about how their Sunday lunch times are special, so if you’re looking for plans for today - get yourself here to celebrate National

Noodle Day in style, where you’ll find fried noodle dishes, noodles in broths, sauces and more.

Maki and Ramen

New to Leeds this year, Maki and Ramen opened in January on Bond Street, serving sushi, ramen and noodles. Traditional Japanese food is their forte, and all of their ramen noodles are homemade.

We tried the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, it was comforting, well balanced and had just the right amount of garlic.

Our standout dish was the Teriyaki Chicken, but we did also order some of their sushi; the tiger roll and spicy tuna roll were particularly good and we noted they didn’t drizzle mayonnaise on top, which was to Mr Leeds Food Tours’ delight as he doesn’t particularly enjoy when they do!

Fuji Hiro

It's a Leeds staple, whenever Fuji Hiro is brought up in conversation, you'll find someone who has been, or visited way back when. They've got some of the best Katsu in Leeds.

In terms of noodles, we absolutely love their ramen offering but in particular, their spicy Yaki-Soba is a flavour sensation, make sure to try on your next visit!

House of Fu

House of Fu's ramen is some of the *best* ramen we've tried, spicy, rich, full of depth, their broth is paired with noodles, flavoursome meats and veggies.

We've tried both the pork and chicken ramen here and have to say we preferred the pork! Not quite noodles, but make sure to try their crispy cauliflower to start- it's sensational!
