What's On In Leeds This Weekend: 21st-23rd October

Wondering what's on in Leeds this weekend when it comes to all things foodie?

From a cheesy fine dining evening to an incredible sounding taco collaboration, here are a few foodie things happening this weekend in Leeds (21st-23rd October 2023).

Leeds Food Tours, Local Leeds Guided Tour

Of course, I have to start with a self-promotion when talking about what's on in Leeds this weekend!

I have a couple of spaces left on Saturday's guided food tour:
- 11.45am start
- Approx 4 hours
- Six stops, a variety of independent pubs, restaurants and market stalls
- All food included, plus an alcoholic drink
- £60pp

Learn some foodie facts, past and present, too! If you'd like to join me on a food tour this weekend, click here to book.

The Cheesy Living Co. X No Fixed Abode

The Cheesy Living Co. is a wonderful cheese shop, located in the Corn Exchange. They sell local cheese and charcuterie to take home, and also have a sit in menu consisting of sharing boards and small plates.

This Friday is their 'Night of Fine Dining' with Chef John Granaghan (who used to work at Michelin Star restaurant Man Behind the Curtain).

It's a 'Flavours of the Orient' themed menu, with an optional wine pairing flight put together by Latitude Wine. This has got to be one of the best foodie things to do in Leeds this weekend (other than a food tour, of course!).

DM them on instagram for bookings.

Birria Bandits X Hey! Ho! Taco!

Two taco pop ups, Birria Bandits and Hey Ho Taco, come together for a special menu on Friday only (5pm-11pm) at Grind House.

One of the dishes on the menu recently won Street Food Dish of the Year 2022, so it's definitely worth a visit.

It's called 'Let's Tacobao It' and consists of Cascabel chilli rubbed short beef rib, 2 birria dipped bao buns, spring onion, chilli, adobo crema, sesame seeds and birria consomme.

Book via instagram, walk-ins also welcome.

Cocktail/Mocktail Week

Drink rather than food, but close enough, right?

Cocktail/Mocktail week is running until Sunday, so you've got all weekend to make the most of the offers.

Head to the Eat Leeds website to see all of the offers, download a voucher for the venue you would like to try, and hand over at the venue for special discounted cocktails.

Offers include a £7.50 'Pineapple Tommy's Margarita' at If At Night, £5 colour changing cocktail at The Alchemist and 2-for-£10 cocktails at Zaap Thai.

Bundobust Oktoberfest Special

Sunday is the last day you can enjoy Bundobust's Oktoberfest specials including Currywurst Koftas and  Kartoffelpuffer (twist on a potato pancake).

They also have some special beers on: BUNDOBAR! (a limited edition 5.2% black lager with Munich and Vienna malts) and TOO MUCH CRISPY (collaboration with Norfolk farmhouse brewery Duration, a 5% Helles).
